Blazers beat Nuggets 132-116, are sixth in playoffs

PORTLAND, Oregon, USA (AP) – Damian Lillard had 22 points and 10 assists as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Denver Nuggets 132-116 on Sunday in their final game of the season. Portland will play its eighth straight postseason, the longest active streak in the NBA.

The Blazers clinched sixth place, which means they will play the Nuggets in the first series. Denver was third after a night in which western teams battled for playoff spots.

CJ McCollum had 24 points, including five triples, and the Blazers avoided the playoff. Lillard also made five triples.

The Nuggets, who were already guaranteed a postseason pass, limited the playing time of their starters. Nikola Jokic had 21 points on the court in the first half and rested the rest of the match.

Argentine Facundo Campazzo played 13 minutes, in which he added two points, two assists and two rebounds.
