The Mexican duo of Manuel Padilla and Duilio Carrillo were located in the sixth rung of the men’s relay, in the Modern Pentathlon World Championship that takes place in Cairo, Egypt.

Padilla and Carrillo closed with 1,450 points after scoring 235 units in fencing and occupying third place, 314 in swimming for 14th place with a time of 1: 58.19. In what corresponds to horsemanship they achieved 296 for the eighth place and 605 in the race-shot to place themselves in 11 with a time of 11: 35.00.
The place of honor went to the couple made up of Alexander Lifanov and Maxim Kuznetzov (RMPF) with 1,491 points after achieving 266 in fencing, 315 in swimming, 293 in horsemanship and 617 in the combined event.
The second place for the Koreans Jun Woongtae and Jung Jinhwa with 1,486 (226, 329, 293 and 638), followed by the Chinese Zhang Linbin and Han Jiahao with 1,482 (250, 323, 299 and 610).
This competition brought together 14 couples from nations such as Bulgaria, Ukraine, Germany, Belarus, the United States, Italy, Hungary and France, among others.
